What To Expect
Let's Talk About Your New Kitchen, Bath or Office Project
Judy Johnson is extremely flexible in working with clients. But there are two basic options for her services:
This is where you pay a Design Retainer and you receive your complete design and a list of all the materials specified for it. You then purchase the materials and take care of the installation through your own contractor.
Design & Purchase
This option offers complete design and the purchase of specified materials through Creative Designs by Judy. The Design Retainer can vary depending on the scope of the job. Judy can recommend several qualified installation contractors or you may choose your own.
The entire process can be broken down into specific steps:
Phase I – The Initial Meeting
This initial consultation meeting is in your home to meet each other and discuss the project. Spending time in your space, we can discuss budget, your needs, desires and timing of the project. This consultation may last approximately an hour.
Phase II – Moving Forward
At this meeting a Design Retainer is collected, which is based on what your project is estimated to cost to design. Your vision is discussed in more detail, your space to be remodeled is studied, measurements are taken of the space, and the product selection process begins.
Phase III – Design Process
Additional meetings occur as necessary during the design phase to review designs, product selections, and preliminary pricing. The timeline depends on complexity of the project, availability of schedules to meet for design reviews, and product selections.
Phase IV – Final Steps
When design and product selections are finalized and approved, a deposit is made, then the ordering process begins. The amount of time this takes depends on each manufacturer and their lead times, which could be from 4 to 12 weeks. You will always be kept apprised of estimated delivery times so you can coordinate with your contractors.
